I was approached to help create a small 8-bit section of a spot for ALLY bank, focused on women in sports. I always jump at an opportunity to flex my retro muscles, with an 8-bit (technically a 16-bit) job.
The challenge of expressing character with a limited palette and an even more limited amount of screen real estate is always a thrill.
The designs and most of the animation were done using Photoshop, and then thrown into After Effects for some finishing touches and sprite movement animation.
